Analytical testing
- analysis of radionuclides using modern techniques such as gamma-ray spectrometry and beta-ray spectrometry
- determination of residual solvents by gas chromatography with FID detection
- HPLC separation on an analytical and semi-preparative scale with the option of radiodetection. The chromatography systems are further equipped with an electrochemical detector, a UV/VIS detector and a refractive-index detector
- thin-layer separation with the option of detecting the activity distribution of gamma and beta emitters
- measurement of sample viscosity at various temperatures
- measurement of sample radioactivity

- measurement of melting point
- measurement of pH (instrument with a microelectrode for electrochemical measurement in small volumes of approx. 50 µl)

Microbiological testing
- determination of bacterial endotoxins
- measurement by the kinetic turbidimetric method
- measurement by the gel-clot method
The quality-control laboratory also provides, for example, sampling during microbiological monitoring of production areas, identity control of starting materials entering the production processes, stability monitoring of preparations (“on-going” stability), qualification of analytical instruments and validation of analytical methods.
The range of services includes consulting, development and design-engineering work on gas, liquid and solid targets for the preparation of radionuclides on a cyclotron.
In cooperation with other entities, it is possible to design irradiation capsules for the preparation of radioisotopes by activation in a reactor, as well as elution and dispensing equipment for the final formulation of a radiochemical.
